When & What is the Professional Care Workers Week?
During the first week of September, The Care Workers’ Charity wants the social care sector to come together (virtually of course) to celebrate Professional Care Workers Week.
Care and support workers have a challenging and rewarding job that is different every day. Over the past months care workers have shown how exceptional they are. During a period of global uncertainty, the most vulnerable members of our society have been cared for in care homes, supported living facilities and in their own homes.
The social care workforce is one of the largest in the UK; those 2 million people deserve to be respected and recognised for their work. Professional Care Workers Week has been designed to bring the sector together and to appreciate the outstanding efforts of care and support workers.
Across the four days a series of webinars and panel discussions will be available, free of charge and open to everyone. An array of speakers will be sharing their expertise and charisma on a range of exciting topics.
And our Co-Founder & CEO, Mat Whittingham will be joining one of the panel discussions, talk through supporting the mental health of people in social care
