Rachel Linfoot

Dental Policy Lead

Rachel has almost twenty years of dental experience, starting off as a dental nurse at a small practice in beautiful Knaresborough in North Yorkshire.

Since then, she has been a Lead nurse at a six surgery orthodontic practice, Head Dental Treatment Coordinator and has been a Practice Manager located in Leeds for the past seven years. Working through different roles in the practice has to lead to her gaining vast experience of what works (and what doesn’t) in practice.

With an excellent understanding of the CQC compliance framework, having designed and implemented procedures and systems necessary to set up new dental practices, Rachel is continuously looking to improve policies for patients and clients in line with CQC/GDC and best practice guidelines in order to be able to deliver high-quality dental care.

Not afraid of a hard job, Rachel worked in dental clinics in Italy (Florence, Venice, Milan) for a large Italian corporate dental company in order to gain the knowledge necessary to set up their first UK practice, despite speaking very little Italian.  She played a vital role in the setup of the clinic, from the buying of equipment and stock to the setting up of essential legislation.

She is used to managing practices from scratch, practices moving premises and those looking to expand.

Rachel loves seeing the practices she has helped succeed and played a leading role in the expansion of practice from a single dentist surgery to a thriving three dentist surgery within 12 months.

As well as being a registered Dental Nurse, Rachel is qualified in Dental Radiography and holds an ITEC Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology Diploma.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys gardening, walking and looking after foster cats for a local charity.
