HR Management in Social Care

The success of any business is dependent upon its employees; this is even more so in a sensitive sector like health and social care , so recruiting the right staff and then managing employee relationships, is a key factor in achieving long term success. It will be difficult to positively answer many of the CQC Key Questions (The Mum Test) and KLOEs without the right staff to support you.

The QCS Human Resources Module is highly valued by our clients. It is a comprehensive resource for recruiting, managing and retaining your employees including policies and procedures that cover: Absence, Holidays and Sickness, Contracts of Employment, Equality and Disability, Job Descriptions, Performance and Discipline, Recruitment, Induction and Training.

Case Studies

Many of our clients choose to go ‘on the record’, telling the story of why they selected QCS to solve their problems and how it has helped them to take control of compliance.

  • seems to be geared more so to residential homes.

I own a domicilary care agency. i have had to write my own pols and pros as i find yours are not suitable as they are geared towards residential settings. alot of forms are more complex than needed. and also alot of info you provide on training is out of date i.e nvqs. there were other things out of date which i phoned and advised you of. system is good if youve never done this type of thing before but for an established agency i feel its not up to scratch. Clare Causton
  • Informative, friendly, adaptable, together with some tweaks required to the system documentation for Domiciliary Care Settings.

On first looking at the vast amount of documentation on the system it was very daunting indeed. After some hours of conversation and going through some of the documentation with Justine, who was very helpful, informative and patient I gained a better understanding. There is still a lot of work to do on my part though, which I didnt expect I would have to do. It also takes some getting used to to find where everything is. Also some documentation could do with just a bit of explanation as to why something needs to be done ie a form asks 'support plan Y/N' - explain in just one or two words why for example 'support plan updated Y/N/NA'. This would help in making the forms more user friendly to complete. Julia Thomas

Most of my worries as a beginner have been dealt with. Help is available when needed. They are worth any recommendation. Vida Arthur
