This policy has been expanded with the following additions made; the aims of policy had been expanded to incorporarte additional requirements; additional sources of information have been included to support workplaces; additional professional responsibility requirements and links to professional policies and guidance have also been added to help make the implementaion and understanding of legislative and professional requirements easy to understand. Best practice requirements have been added to support workplaces to meet outstanding requirements. The title of this policy has been changed to ‘Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy and Procedure’ as previously it was ‘Confidentiality Policy and Procedure’.
This policy has been reviewed to include additional information on medicines storage and handling and the management of Controlled Drugs.The references have been updated to reflect the additional content.
Policy reviewed and revised. Additional content includes training to meet the 2018 Adult Safeguarding Roles and Competencies which applies to Dental Services and a new fact sheet on County Lines and Cuckooing. This policy and procedure reflect current best practice. However, the documents must be reviewed and amended to reflect the local policies, procedures and the service being delivered before it can be embedded within the Business. An additional custom field has been included which refers to the Provider’s own local Authority Safeguarding Team. System details in the QCS Management system will need to be updated to reflect the Local Authority Name.
Policy converted to new QCS format. Updates to legislation made, further reading added and an addition to procedures, including the addition of QCS app, emergency communications, duty of candour and public communications.
This policy has been updated to expand on the requirements to meet the Freedom of Information Act 2000 as set out by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). It has also been updated to clarify classes of information subject to exemptions e.g. the protection of commercial interests and personal information under the Data Protection Act 1998.
This policy has been updated to give more details to team quality review processes linked to Regulation 17 – Good Governance, Fundamental Standards. Accountability and training guidance has also been added.
The Consent Policy and Procedure has been updated to include guidance and information about additional Acts.
