Computer, Email and Internet Usage Policy and Procedure
This policy details the requirements in relation to computer, email and Internet usage at the service and the steps that staff have to take to ensure compliance. It has been reviewed and an update made to section 5.13. References also checked to ensure they remain current.
Pressure Ulcer Management Policy and Procedure
This policy details how the service will support service users who are at risk of or present with pressure ulcers. It defines the roles and responsibilities of staff and it details the clinical governance framework for reducing risk and reflection. The policy has been reviewed and updated in sections 5.1, 5.3, 5.5. and 6.5. References also checked to ensure they remain current.
Live-in Care Policy and Procedure
This policy details the process to follow where a service provides live-in care for service users. It has been reviewed and updates made to sections 4.1 and 5.9, as well as a key fact added. References also checked and remain current.
Nutrition and Hydration Policy and Procedure
This policy details how to support service users with their nutrition and hydration requirements, as well as how to monitor what their requirements may be. It has been reviewed with no significant changes and references checked and updated.
Capability Policy and Procedure
This policy will support where issues of capability or poor performance arise. It has been reviewed and an update made to the Managers Checklist to reflect the process set out in the procedure. An additional stakeholder has also been added and references also checked to ensure they remain current.
Chemical Agents and Hazardous Substances Policy and Procedure
This policy details how the service will comply with Health and Safety legislation relating to chemical agents and carcinogens to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, service users and anyone who works for and on behalf of the organisation. It has been reviewed with minor changes to wording and addition of “Primary Care Services” into section 2.3. References also checked to ensure they remain current.
Ventilation via Tracheostomy Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines the approach to ensure safe care for service users who require ventilation via tracheostomy. It must be read alongside any local procedures and with any manufacturers’ instructions. It has been reviewed with no significant changes and references have been checked and updated.
Vehicle Insurance Policy and Procedure
This policy will support the company in ensuring that cars used for business purposes are safe for use and properly insured in accordance with health and safety laws. It has been reviewed with minor changes and new references have been added.
