Hazard Reporting Policy and Procedure
Hazards occur in any work environment; this policy will inform staff on the process of reporting hazards and what can be done to lessen a hazard. This policy has been reviewed with various changes in all sections, references and links checked and remain current.
Parental Leave Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines the law on Parental Leave. This is a commonly overlooked
entitlement to leave and should not be confused with Shared Parental Leave, Paternity
Leave, Maternity Leave or other family-related leave. The right is to up to 18-weeks of
unpaid leave until the employee’s child reaches 18 years old. The Procedure section
has been updated to confirm the position in relation to employees’ terms and
conditions when exercising their right to Parental Leave. An additional entitlement letter
has been added to the Forms section and the references have been updated.
Infection Control Policy and Procedure
Infection Control is an important aspect in the delivery of safe care and this policy has
been updated to include reference to not wearing uniforms outside of the care home.

Dilution of Chemicals Policy and Procedure
Minimal changes to policy, references checked and remain current. Due to the nature of harm chemicals can cause, this is reflected in the status rating. This policy will guide staff on the dilution of chemicals to ensure safe practice is adhered to.
