Key Worker Policy and Procedure
Policy reviewed with no significant changes and references checked and updated.
Retirement Policy and Procedure
This policy will support the process where employees are considering retirement. It has been reviewed with 2 new documents added to the ‘Forms’ section. References have been checked and updated.
Business Continuity Policy and Procedure
This policy has been updated to reflect the Winter protection plan for health and social care 2020 to 2021 from the Welsh Government. The policy has been simplified to support providers to create plans more easily. A new templated business continuity plan has been added which includes key themes. The template needs a full review and customising by the service and any local themes need to be included. Additional templates on individual priority need categorisation added. Impact raised to critical to reflect the need to have plans in place asap.
General Management Protocol Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines the protocol to follow in relation to management structures and having contingency plans in place. It has been reviewed with minimal change. References have been checked and remain current.
Care Communication and Information Policy and Procedure
Policy updated to reflect the issues of COVID-19 and the need to ensure that communication processes are robust, clear and timely.
Management Meetings Policy and Procedure
This policy outlines the approach to take in relation to management meetings and has a variety of templates available within it. It has been reviewed and references updated. Minor changes to wording, and now includes reference to the need to arrange remote meetings when not possible to meet face to face.
Action Planning Policy and Procedure
Policy updated to the new QCS format. Reviewed the focus from ‘meetings’ to the wider use of action planning including responses to CIW reports and updated the Form template.
General Management Protocol Policy and Procedure
This policy has been reviewed and converted into the new QCS policy format. It has evolved to now include organisational structure and delegation in management as well as detailing line management standards and regulatory notifications in the unlikely event of a home manager absence.
Job Description – Responsible Individual
This document has been updated to amend ‘Nominated Person’ to ‘Responsible Individual’, in line with best practice, and has been updated for minor amendments to terminology. Also, provisions have been included for occasions when the Welsh Language may be ‘Essential’ or ‘Desirable’.
National Service Framework Policy and Procedure
Updated to be more in line with current government strategies on mental health.
