Behaviour that Challenges Policy and Procedure

Care Planning Service Commencement Region: | Reference: WCP33

This policy outlines how a service can support individuals who have behaviours that challenge and the necessary best practice approaches. It has been reviewed with additional information added to sections 5.6 and 5.7 to provide further clarity on the reporting timeline of any incidents. References have also been updated.

Training Policy and Procedure

Human Resources Recruitment, Induction and Training Region: | Reference: WPR25

This policy will support with the training and development needs of staff at the service. It has been updated to include reference to the registration requirement with Social Care Wales. Sections 4.8, 5.7 and 5.10 added. New reference also included and existing ones checked to ensure they remain current.

Coronavirus Policy and Procedure

COVID-19 Hub Health and Safety COVID-19 Region: | Reference: WHS17

This policy has been reviewed and updated in sections 5.2 and 5.4 to reflect the Government’s new national rules that come into force from 9th November. References have also been checked and a new one added in relation to the change.

Medical Emergency Policy and Procedure

This policy provides a framework to support individuals in a medical emergency. It has been reviewed and updated with minor changes to wording, and now includes a section on COVID-19, but the content of the policy still remains current and valid. References also checked to ensure they remain current.

Duty of Candour Policy and Procedure

Administration Registration & Compliance - Administration Region: | Reference: WAR38

This policy will support the service to have a culture of being open, honest and transparent whilst supporting Individuals with safe and effective care. It has been reviewed and streamlined within the procedural section. Updates made to the forms, with reference made to the Accident and Incident Policy and Procedure and template removed from this policy. References also updated to ensure they remain current and an accessible information standard one added.

This policy will support with adherence to the Mental Capacity Act and has been reviewed with useful references added in relation to the Wales Key Lines of Enquiry. All existing references have also been updated.
