Domestic Violence and Abuse Policy and Procedure #2
This is a new policy that sits as part of the Adult Support and Protection and Child Protection policies and procedures. The local adult support and protection reporting procedures must be attached to this policy to ensure that staff know who to contact and their contact details. During the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to stay at home, self-isolation, increased anxiety and worry are likely to result in an increased rates of domestic violence and abuse. Staff working directly with service users and their families need to be aware of the signs to look for and how to report any concerns.
