Staff Handbook

Human Resources Contract of Employment Region: | Reference: SPC07

This handbook directs staff to the relevant policies and sits over the top of the substantive policies on the QCS Management System. The handbook is also a good opportunity to introduce the customer to a new member of staff and set out their vision and values. The policy has been updated to refer to UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, as well as making it clear it may be amended from time-to-time.

Maternity Leave Policy and Procedure

Human Resources Absence, Holidays and Sickness Region: | Reference: SPA04

This policy has been amended to clarify that, where there is a conflict between the terms of this policy and the statutory position, the statutory position should take precedence. In addition, the policy has been updated to outline the interaction between maternity leave and furlough leave. This policy governs the statutory minimum requirements for a pregnant employee who intends to go on maternity leave. An employer will meet these requirements by following this policy but must not do less than is contained in this policy.

Paternity Leave Policy and Procedure

Human Resources Absence, Holidays and Sickness Region: | Reference: SPA05

This policy has been updated to provide more clarity to the purpose section and also to provide additional information about how the various entitlements to family leave such as shared parental leave interact with paternity leave. This policy sets out the statutory minimum requirements that an employer must meet in the event an employee qualifies for paternity leave. Employers may choose to go beyond these requirements but must do at least what is set out in this policy.
